I saw someone riding there bike the other day down bruin walk and they fell of their bike and broke their leg, did anyone see it ?

omg!!...wow.....well I'm not suprised...some of them go so fast down that hill

wow. as a scooterer i feel the pain of the biker.
for the people who dont scooter, bike, or board:

please dont turn around when you hear someone rolling behind you...because when you turn around you create an unsuspected obstacle with the turning of your body. so yeah. just keep walking forward.

yep. the sound of 'impending death' makes you want to move somewhere or turn around, but just keep walking as if you dont hear anything. the bikers/skaters/scooterers/etc have a path planned out and if you move, stop, or otherwise do something that blocks their intended path...you're gonna get run over. :)

maybe that should go in the random hints thread.

amen amen amen

LOL yeah, it's like a natural reflex. Surprisingly, I haven't gotten run over yet. I'm assuming these people are pretty pro by the time they start trying to maneuver around the hills and pedestrians

My favorite was the girl who decided to rollerblade to class one day. I suddenly imagined her side-stepping all the way up janss and just laughed, because seriously? While I rocked the rollerblades hard in 1993, I just cant imagine attempting to get around on campus with them.

This is why they need a dedicated bike trail alongside the entire length of Bruin Walk -- not just along the choke-point where the tables are.

they should just have shuttles that drive us to class. :D

they do. it's just that the hours are short.

i wish i could teleport

oh, me too. every time i'm on the 405.

The other day a guy was being as agressive as possible on a skateboard, cutting in and out between people. He swerved to cut between some girls and smack right into me. The good news is I had a moment to brace myself, so in the end I bearly moved and he landed rather hard on the ground. I thought his head hit the ground pretty hard, but he got up and walked it off. I would have honestly felt worse had he not been cutting between people so much, but he was the one who came head on with me.

aw Allie, it ain't so bad. You have time to enjoy the scenery. Well depending on which part you're in, the nice graphics on the walls

meh i don't consider oil refineries and car dealerships fantastic scenery, for the most part. the 405 sucks.

lol allie do you drive through wilmington? the aroma of untreated sewage is lovely

OC-> LA and back. Ugliest drive ever.
