<p>If one kick goes ten feet further (or on an earlier kick, to the right), nobody is even having this discussion. I have no dog in this hunt (yet), but Alabama outgained Auburn 495-393 and had no turnovers. Alabama was the better team but occassionally the better team doesn’t win and that was the case Saturday.</p>
<p>Hey, I can completely understand why Coach Saban did what he did with the kick attempt (as Malani’s post illustrates). Who would have ever thought it would end the way it did? It was a wild game with a crazy finish. My son was bummed, my daughter was elated. Here in MO, we’re just stunned that Mizzou and Auburn will play in SEC championship. UA will turn the page and clobber whoever they face in whatever bowl they get (Orange, Sugar?)</p>
