This probably is the dumbest question in this thread but anyways...?

Is double legacy more valuable than single legacy? It seems like it obviously would be but in your opinion does double legacy have much greater value than single legacy, a little bit greater value or equal value? I'm sorry for such a stupid question, I really would appreciate any answers.

Thanks!

^ My understanding is that it is not more valuable. Once you qualify as a legacy (parent or grandparent who’s an alum), that’s it. The admissions office doesn’t give an applicant with 2 parents who are alums more of a boost than an applicant with only one alum parent, or an applicant with 2 parents and a grandparent who are alums more of a boost than an applicant with only 2 alumni parents. They just don’t make those kinds of distinctions.

And this is based on everything I’ve ever read and heard about legacy admissions as an alum, as well as my attendance at a couple of legacy admissions informational sessions at Penn.
