This should be a no brainer, right?

My choices right now with major points..

Cooper Union- free, extremely small and competitive, only one building, only one major (chemE)

Macaulay Honors College @ Hunter College- is a CUNY so not so great, but honors program gives some benefits like a free study abroad, macbook pro, free tuition and also dorm for 2 years (a single), but is a 30 minute commute to actual campus, which is only a couple of buildings

BU- far away, costs a bit of money (about 25k), has good majors except for that chemE that i MIGHT want

SUNY Stony brook- not a bad school, honors college, would only have to pay dorm, has every possible major that I might want

Now I think Stony Brook would be the obvious choice here. Am I wrong? Im unsure about major, possible Chemistry or Math or ChemE maybe ... completely undecided it might not be any of these.

Since you aren’t sure about your major, but BU doesn’t offer one of the majors that you are considering, this is between Macaulay and Stony Brook. Run the numbers here: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid) and see whether paying for four years of housing at Stony Brook is going to break your budget. If you have to take loans out to live in a dorm, think twice about it. You want to keep your total debt within the maximum allowed by the Stafford Loans if at all possible.

Stony Brook seems to be the winner in my eyes
