This sucks!

Hey everyone!
I'm Casey, and Syracuse has pretty much been my dream school ever since I heard of it! So I worked my butt off in high school to make this dream a reality. I got accepted off the wait list on May 6. I can't tell you how excited I was. I felt like everything that was going wrong for me didn't even matter. Well, I recieved my finincial aid letter along with my acceptance letter. I got around $18,000 in my award. Unfortunately, I am not from the richest of families. I spoke with the finincial aid office and they let me know that they were hurting, and many students were in the same position I was. I am now going to attend somewhere else this fall in HOPES of being able to transfer next year. I love Syracuse University, and I want to be a part of the orange family so bad. It sucks that the only thing getting in the way is money. The time not spent at Syracuse will seem very long to me. I will definitely be up there for football games.. and even just to visit!
Even though it may hurt, I want you all to let me know how everything is going at SU. I will hopefully see you there soon!

I’m really sorry to here that and I’m sure you will be joining us VERY soon! Just work hard and stay positive, you’ll end up wherever you’re meant to be and if your passionate enough (which you seem to be :)) I know you’ll find a way to make it happen!

I too am also sorry to hear that. This is usually the case for people who were waitlisted not only at Syracuse but at other institutions as well.
