Well would it be too hard if i take Chem 101 and Calc 1 this summer?

too hard? no calc 1 should be a cake walk…so should chem

it just means like 5 hrs each class for each day… can you handle that??

Definitely possible. Calc 1 and Chem 101 are not difficult classes. I had a friend who successfully took Calc 2 and Chem 102 in the same summer. As for the long hours, I know someone who currently has two 10 hour days and two 12 hour days. So I think a person can get accustomed to long hours.

As long as you think the professors are okay, I think you should go for it. =]

it is doable, i took physics1 and cal3 in the same summer, i have a friend who took chem 102 and cal3 at the same time. However, it is not going to be a funny summer though…

omg! iamlegendary a “cake walk”? lol. i would die 10 times over-

yea well it means , that i have to put a lot of hours in self study too, damn i am gettin nervous and excited and pumped up at the same time for it lol

BTW, does chem 101 has - 1 lecture class and 2 lab classes?

This summer I am taking organic chemistry and intermediate calculus, along with two GE classes. I’m expecting to have no life, but it’s definitely doable if you try hard and really really care about your grades.

I did 1st semester General Chemistry with Differential Equations one summer. I don’t remember much of anything about that summer besides going to school and studying. My friend who was doing the same thing got A’s in both classes. I got an A in Chem and a B in DiffEqations (I always get Bs in math classes, just make up for them with As in science classes :).

Doable, but be prepared for a huge commitment.

Ogi

I agree with everyone. [:

It is do-able, and you’re already expecting to have no life…LOL, so no worries there. Just know what’s ahead of you…which I’m sure you do. && it’s only a six (or eight) week class, keep that in mind every step of the way, that made things extremely easy for me to concentrate and keep going. [:

Chemistry isn’t my best subject, but took Organic Chem I and three other classes last summer. @__@;;

Best of luck!

Honestly, it depends on the person. If you can handle the amount of work, and if you know how the professors are, you should be fine. Some people find it difficult while others find it easy.
