<p>I can’t speak on the others, but I visited Chap Hill last week and they said that rigor of classes and making high marks in them (though they don’t pay much attention to GPA at all because it’s so different across the nation) and essays are their top 2 priorities. As long as your essay is as good as you say it’ll be, you’re in. Dunno if you’ve looked into it at all, but they’ll be using common app for the first time this year.</p>
