Hey Mikey, I just remembered that you are a very recent graduate from Williams. Could you please tell us about your experience there? What did you study and what are you doing now? What other schools did you apply to and why did you choose Williams?

Any other alumni are open to comment as well.

Thanks!

Hi Alby,

I'd prefer not to disclose too much about myself. I enjoy my anonymity : )

I studied economics, and am currently doing quantitative research in the field.

As for my experience.... I enjoyed it quite a bit. What's unique about the experience is that there is so much natural beauty around you and abundance of available outdoor activites year round. I also played a sport and dislike it when certain alums (not mentioning any names) insinuate that athletes taint the academic environment of Williams. But let's try and avoid this debate right now.

When we got a touch of cabin fever, we would head down to Albany and go to the Crossgates Mall (Its huge!!!! I think its the second largest mall in America.) and some of Albany's clubs. Weekend trips to Boston and New York are also doable. I could get to Manhattan in less than 2.5 hours. Of course, I recommend that you don't attempt to copy my driving habits.

I was also considering Dartmouth (found out about my acceptance early) and Swarthmore (also found out about my acceptance fairly early).

Harvard waitlisted me and Amherst rejected me... I didn't want to go there anyway : )

Any more specific questions???
