This Thread will have #1000 by 05/07/07

The random tangents in the Cafe and in the Penn forum make me stay on CC.

What r u talking abt Venkat behind my back? (lol!) So, D'yer is an orator! Okay! I just wanted this thread to die, not bcoz I'm a conventional thinker, but just that wanna fulfill this thread's purpose----1000 thread! that's what its purpose was, and I just wanted to stick w/ it, now, I wonder, how now, that there r some people who move w/ the 'flock' ! the 'flock' yes, the 'flock'---the number of thread IS the flock! What if this thread has just a few posts, where would then the 'free thinkers' go?! Would they have been thinking freely? Rather, as of now, aren't they just taking advantage of the current situation of this thread, which grew so fast, w/ a different purpose--a purpose clearly inscribed in its title?!

:D (I ain't really serious w/ this sorta statements though!)

Plus, I was never on the 500 thread, whereas, I was on this thread. It's all about the NY-Factor.

@ asifkhan: True. True. And yet it is the lack of purpose that now infuses this thread with purity. It has been liberated. It is free. Soar as you must. Fly with the flock, safely to the warmer weather. Or soar high, on your own, and let the wind carry you! There is no right way. There is only your way.

Hahaha, I really am starting to think you're a retired writer.

This isn't about any personality. It's about community. It's about the collective. This thread is a collaboration, man. Why, it's even better than that. It's a frikkin' conspiracy. A conspiracy of ideas and truths and profound wisdom that no one among us could ever create. It is flowing, like a river. Except it rises as we build on each other, like a great pyramid reaching unto the Heavens.

You're syntax is that of Kurt Vonnegut, you're diction is that of Dumas, you're ideas are those of Tolstoy. Bravo.

Please explain the diction of Dumas. I may not be thinking of the same Dumas as you if #1326 reflects his diction in some way.

Alexandre Dumas?

He talks in a very ethereal manner (at least in the Count of Monte Cristo he certainly did.) Maybe the "friggin" part can be excluded.

Vonnegut has short, choppy diction.

And Tolstoy talked of humanity's combined spirit for wisdom, for the inner truth (refer to "The Kingdom of God is Within You")

Yes, it was the friggin' that I was thinking of. But who isn't thinking of it?

True?

Yes, why not. I guess the "friggin" would too be "Vonnegutish"

Have you read the real "War and Peace" or the version that the chimpanzees are trying to type and eventually get right?

The chimp version is pretty short. Which works for me.

Really, the chimp version? I must recommend that to all my friends who complain about the thickness of the original. Haha, they complain about everything...I mean you give them a Vonnegut with only 190 pgs, and then they start crying that it's too confusing and messed up. Weirdos...oh my goodness, I actually sounded like a CC nerd...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

^so hows that prom date coming along?

Haha, Venkat the truth is that I was just mad at some girl and it was kind of just an outlet for my frustration. Sorry man.

Guess I'm still looking. I'm in a class full of juniors, except they're all ugly. Last semester I was in a class with hot juniors, but I was asleep the entire time. I should have been thinking about prom then.

Haha, I guess so man. I guess you can always steal the prom date of one of your friends, as you suggested yesterday.

Thats probably what's going to happen...

Hello everyone.
