Admit it, after you've spent hours every day over Winter Break writing essays for high-ranking colleges, and then you look at some of the people here, you can't but help wonder how much time you've wasted and how little of a chance you really have.

...

...Yes.

word.

I'm one of the top kids at my high school and every time I visit CC my ego deflates real fast.

This isn't the average kid! There are plenty of places for almost all types of students. In many cases the lower stat students will have greater career sucess than the CC stud. Don't be discouraged. Book smart is only one component of future achievements.

I can't stop crying now...

^ Lawl...?

totally agree with pete. I remember last year when early decisions were coming in. I found CC about a week or two before and I literally cried. I didn't get into that school but this year, a girl from my old high school got in who knows close to nothing outside of what's expected of her in class. Example: she thought the Gaza strip was in South America. And she got into this Ivy. Needless to say, my respect and admiration for that school has diminished a bit.

Realizing you are surrounded by sociopaths is pretty depressing.

But the rest of the forums just encourage me to work harder. If I need motivation, I just go to CC.

the funny thing is, u are one of those people. you just come on and troll/ask random questions.
its a great place to relieve stress.

it actually makes me more sane than before. as in "omg im the only guy crazy enough to do this"
"oh look everyone here is a maniac"
":D"

word! CC has two effects on me -- bring me down or make me want to try even harder! Depends on my mood.
