This will sound like a random question but..

Since I never toured Swarthmore i was wondering something. I know UPENN is in the big city atmosphere etc. However does swarthmore also have a mad amount of squirrels running around the campus? If anyone who toured Penn
and swarthmore see this? I am just wondering.

Also just another question. How is swarthmore in general. What do you guys think the worst and best parts are?

I know these seem like random questions but I dont know if I will get an interview and I want to know.

Thanks in advance.

Swarthmore's campus is an arboretum, which is an ideal environment for a large squirrel population.

Ah thats awesome. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, there were lotsa squirrels at Swarthmore. :] Penn has more pigeons than squirrels...and it's actually pretty secluded from the city, in my experience. You just walk out of the college and right into busy Philly streets. I live near Swarthmore and go to school right near UPenn, so...I've been to both a lot. :]

Swat's really...I've found it very buzzing intellectually, which was awesome. I liked the dining hall atmosphere a lot. Worst? I don't really know. There are people studying everywhere you go. Sometimes it gets cold? Haha. I'm probably a bad person to talk to about downsides at Swat.

If you do have an interview you should be well-versed in the pros and cons and general information. An interviewer will get really annoyed if you ask basic questions. Do your research in advance. Especially before you apply!

Yes we have LOTS of squirrels . . . who don't fear human beings at all. There's even a facebook group called, "I was attacked by a Swat squirrel, and survived!" I'm taking a class at Penn this semester, and I have yet to see a squirrel there. Pigeons, yes, but squirrels, no. Penn is very much into the whole "campus in the city" thing, and it's hard to tell when you're on campus there and when you're not. Swat is definitely more secluded from the actual town of Swarthmore.

Its been made clear by previous posts.. but there are LOTS of squirrels here... lots and lots and lots and lots. you get the idea. :D
