This years tuition?????

9866???? That blows hardcore compared to the past years at like 8500. Hello loans.

Where did you see this?

This year, meaning school year 10-11 or 11-12? And, where is the source for that? I know tuitions going up pretty much inevitably, but haven’t seen numbers.

[The University of Washington: Office of Planning and Budgeting](http://www.washington.edu/admin/pb/home/opb-tuition.htm)

Currently tuition is 2,900 per quarter (not including the upass fee), was this way all year
They have not posted the new tuition. When they do, it will be on the link provided.

If you look at your financial aid status on MyUW, the new tuition should be on there.

My UW says 9866 (2011-2012) for me as well.

yeah thats what i was saying. for my financial aid offer it shows tuition as that. so messed up. it just rose over a grand.

You have to understand that UW is facing serious budget cuts. State funding is being severely diminished and the university had very limited options. It’s already been stated that in some smaller majors students may have to be enrolled longer because classes will not be able to be offered as regularly. Yes things are getting more expensive, but something has to be done to try to maintain the university’s standards. I think we’re lucky that it only went up as much as it did. For an in-state student it is still very much a bargain. For out-of-state students it is considerably more expensive, but still less than most private colleges.

YEAH, try 42,000 total for Out of state! Now that “blows”
