I’m thinking about getting my Bachelor’s in CS and Mathematics from TESU. I have an Associate’s and it would take me about a year and a half to complete.
What are my grad school prospects? Not trying to go crazy with this one and get into anything like Harvard, but definitely something like Rutgers, Montclair State, or Stevens (still highly selective and recognizable).
What about work prospects? FYI – I won’t be testing out of any major courses. In fact, I have about 80 credits racked up from county college all going towards my majors which were taken at a brick and mortar institution. The rest I plan on using through Guided Study/Online courses.
@LBad96 I actually am an adult. I recently turned 21 in the nick of time. I just have a nice job and don’t want to lose it to pursue my degree.
My other option is an online degree completion program through either U of Illinois in Springfield or Indiana University. It won’t take long to complete, both are cheap and both will give me the flexibility to live my life out here in Jersey.
Thanks @Hanna! I think my main concern is that employers/grad admissions would view it as the “easy route” even though I’ve seen the courses required and can definitely say that “easy” does not describe it in the slightest. I appreciate your insight as a teacher/counselor/guidance figure.
