Wow after reading the reviews for this guy I would be terrified to have him.

Well at least one person got an A from self studying the course (only looked at the 1st 2 pgs of reviews). However, overall it was bad and the reviews pretty much said the same thing in each. Doesn’t look like a good Calc 3 professor.

Wow, this teacher seems horrible. I don’t know though, he teaches second, third, and fourth periods, and my schedule doesn’t allow to do anything past 8th period any day because of my Chem lab. I guess I’m in for a rough year :/

albertp22191,

Still have Walsh? D says she thinks first exam was worth 67 points (odd number, huh?), but that he’d count a 60 as a perfect score. Is that what you understood? Oh, I suppose it could be different in each section he has. I’ll tell you, if she didn’t love math, this guy could seriously make her hate it. She’s not dying (100 on first quiz and B on 1st test, if based on 60), but a lot of self-teaching.

I actually switched out of his class into another calc 3 professor’s class. The first day was horrible. Could barely understand a word he said and it looked like he would drop dead any second. Didn’t even introduce himself, didn’t look us in the eye, no people skills.

Yeah, I’ve had a few friends take his class and fail miserably. I’m so glad I was lucky enough to dodge that bullet for calc 3, I was originally enrolled in his class but was able to switch out.

My previous ADVISOR told me not to take his class. That’s scary. :/

She tried to switch out but she could never find a calc 3 section open. And, then when she found one, it conflicted with the honors physics section she was in that only met one time with the professor she wanted. Being a freshman, she didn’t get to register early, of course. I think she should have asked if she could have taken two honors classes: the physics and the calc3, but we didn’t think about it until too late too try. So, she’s suffering through … but as I said, with an 85% on the first exam and A’s on the first couple of quizzes, so far so good. She thinks it’s humorous that the class size grows on quiz and exam day.

Are there any other good sites / forums for this type of info.? Any reviews of the classes themselves?

Mike

who teaches calc 3 honors 7th period?

The professors are listed as STAFF, so you won’t know until they update that.
