Thon

I just thought everyone should check out THON this weekend if you get a chance. It is going to be amazing. www.thon.org or walk yourself down to the BJC!

Having just returned from State College and witnessing my first THON, words cannot express the range of emotions I felt throughout the 46 hour marathon. The students involved in this enormous undertaking (over 15,000) raised over 5 million dollars to help in aiding pediatric cancer patients treated at Hershey Medical Center. Seeing the children interacting with the college students was a heartwarming experience and hearing from parents whose children were no longer living but had benifited in the past from PSU's efforts was heartbreaking. I am so proud of my son's involvement in this worthy cause and I urge all of you incoming freshmen to take a chance and join this organization that gives so much to so many.

one of the best experiences of my life

Glad to see THON is stronger than ever. My sorority won the first thon raising $13, 000.00. We canvassed every business and home from State College to Harrisburg back then. I have great memories of all PSU events and have met alums from all over (even far from my PA home). There truly is a special bond among all Penn Staters.
