Thornton Admissions

It seems people are beginning to hear back about admission decisions and scholarships, but I have yet to see any from Thornton. Even if applied by the scholarship deadline, is Thornton holding on to their decisions until the April 1st deadline? Since Thornton's school-wide deadline was December 1st, am I still considered for scholarships by having my application in by then?

Thank you!

My D applied to Thornton. She was accepted to Dornsife as undeclared. Her acceptance stated that Thornton conducts a special review of its applicants and that once Thornton had made its recommendations to the admissions office, USC would notify her of the results. I am assuming, the delay in Thornton admissions is due to the fact that Thornton is still conducting auditions through Feb 12.

Sguiggles S was accepted to Thornton (jazz) with an interview for Presidential scholarship along with the others who reported here recently. And like iamjen says, some students are accepted with scholarship interviews to USC with their Thornton status still pending, most likely those with Feb. auditions.

Thornton also sends some non-P/T music merit scholarships with later acceptance letters, although it doesn’t seem like they have much. My son was lucky to get one of those (mid-March). Not much, but it helps.
