<p>This is a cute thread.</p>
<p>I'm the mom, so it's a slightly different reporting:</p>
<p>S: (poker-faced); "hmmm...looks like I got in"
Mom: (me): Weeping, hugging S, congratulating S, generally making fool of self
Dad: very close to tears himself and willing to admit it. Has always said "If one of my kids gets into X, Y or Z college, I will find a way to pay for it." Hmm...gets to put money where mouth is now, which could be why he was near tears...
Brother: (younger) said he thought he was more nervous than S. Called to see if the mail had come. How sweet is that?
Sisters: (older) immediately demanding sweatshirts with large Princeton logos
Guidance counselor: wasn't there, but suspect he was characteristically modest. Great guy. Wish I could buy him a Porsche.
Recommending teachers: Wasn't there, but heard from them. Thrilled and said they never doubted the outcome for a moment. One had actually <em>requested</em> the honor of writing the recommendation. Wish I could buy her a house.
Former coach and mentor: "Awesome!"
Grandfather: "Where is that, exactly?"</p>
