Those Accepted to NASS

I think a huge part of NASS (which seems most of you covered) is getting the app. in early. I didn't pull an all nighter to do mine. I didn't submit it completely until two days after it came out and I got in. But, I think the other big parts are class rank (which is proportional to GPA) and PSAT scores. A minor factor may be your availability for different sessions, but I really think that is minor.

well, so far so good

Mine scores are 660 M, 640 - CR, and 630 - W ( sucks. ). I have a 3.7, top 10-ish% and I run JV cross country and a varsity swimmer. I got mine in at abouit 12:20. So... we will see.

Waht are the average SAT and GPA of people who go to Navy?

I found out today EXACTLY ONE YEAR AGO that I was accepted to NASS '05..that day was the start of something great!!!

~GINA

When did the application open last year, SwimUSNA? Do you think we'll be hearing soon?

application opened at the same time ours did...we should be hearing pretty soon...maybe starting this week

wow i'm really excited... I really hope that I get into the Summer Seminar! Since I applied early.. if I did not get accepted would they send an early letter of rejection? Or would I have to wait until mid March/April to get a letter of rejection? I don't know I am really nervous right now!

It's rolling....you should find out if you were accepted/rejected according to when you applied.

It's good if you find out early, because if you were rejected, you should reapply...

marine2011, the application oped the same time as this year..1Feb2005..i stayed up and submitted it ten min after midnight...I would think people could be hearing soon, but you never know what Navy is doin...there is no telling with them..

~GINA

As much as I respect Gina and the rest of the people who stayed up to do their apps., I didn't fully complete my app. until two days after it came out. So to anybody else out there who didn't get it done within the hour it came out, you aren't screwed.

Yeah, I did mine like a week or two weeks after it came out.. and got in.

The way I see it, as long as you finish it by the end of february/early march you're fine.

I agree with Bryan and dbluecap, you're fine just so you submit it this month or early next month...If anyone hasn't already applied for NASS and they are thinkin about it, DO IT!!! It's am amazing experience that only comes around once!!

Ahhhh, yes one of the best experiences ever. You make good friends and do stuff you never knew you could do (like throw a basketball from your knees or do Martial Arts for like two hours)

Came across this hot off the press for those interested.

SAT: 690CR, 630M, 650W

GPA: 3.98 UW, they don't weight grades at my school
