I don't think so. I am not going to do ANY special statements beside the PLME one.

ya i planned on not doing it if it wasn't required for PLME

any others support know for sure we don't have to do this chem/comp sci/eng/physics statement in order to apply to PLME

The science statement (Form 3A) is not required for PLME. The only extra forms for PLME are Forms 3B (PLME Statement) and 4C (Science Teacher Ref). You might also have the College Board send a copy of your actual SAT II Writing Test (see http://bms.brown.edu/plme/Requirements.html), since "...candidates are encouraged to take the SAT II Writing Test. Those who take the Writing Test are asked to send a copy of the actual writing sample from the Test."

Yeah, I was wondering about that. How would you go about doing it?

Call the College Board. They keep the tests for a certain amount of time after the test (six months or so). They send you six certified copies for a fee, and you submit one of the copies to Brown. If you do not request the copies within College Board's retention period, yer out o' luck. Mind you, the test sample requirement is not stated in the actual application instruction booklet, so I don't know how strict PLME AdCom are with regard to this "requirement." Only a phone call to Brown will answer that question for you.

Does anyone think the 2 essays required for PLME look pretty similar? I'm ending up writing basically the same things for each. I wanted a career in medicine because I like what doctors do (my vision of a physician). How do you guys differentiate?

Also, do any of these other med. programs require more than one essay?

thanks
