Start checking around 5pm. If you sign in and click on Fees and see that there is a listing for an admissions deposit, you are in. They start showing up around 5pm and go up into the evening hours. If no deposit is shown, you just have to wait to check your status. If you DO have a deposit, your in. If you DO NOT have a deposit, keep checking back, you COULD STILL BE IN.

The admissions site gets overloaded at 12 midnight, so at midnight if you can't check, go to housing and try to sign in, if you CAN, your in and better anyway to get there first and get a lower housing number. The housing deposit does not have to reach them for 10 days to get a number. Or you can pay online--much of it is refundable before May 1.

3.4 UW Gpa. not sure of weighted. upward grade trend from B's and C's to straight A's. strong EC and work experience. 1150/1690 SAT (590read, 560math, 540write), strong letter of recomendation from the principal of my school. applying for summer.

good luck everyone! sunny - thanks for the tip.

okay, my daughter was deferred due to critical reading scores on the ACT/SAT. She retook the ACT after meeting with a tutor and upped the score 5 points to a 26. Her composite is 28. She was not accepted at UF, offered an academic scholarship at USF and deferred from FSU. Isn't this crazy? She has a 3.7, unweighted, danced and swam for her high school all four years. We're on pins and needles around here. Despite the scholarship at USF, she doesn't want to go there - doesn't like the campus at all plus it's very far from our Florida town. Sunnyflorida, thanks for your tips on trying to "sneak in" to find out if she's gotten in. Good luck everyone!

emiami, I'm assuming that you found your way in with sunnyflorida's link. My daughter actually weaved her way through and I'm not certain how she got there but she did. She's already submitted her deposit and we celebrated with dinner out. Good news for anyone else? Hope so!
