I find it depressing since I'm not applying to any popular cc schools that I can't be on any rosters. I dreamed of being on these rosters of cc'ers since 8th grade, but none of these schools are right for me. Anyone else feel my (strange) pain

Nothing wrong with that- popularity on CC definitely doesn't mean a good fit. Where are you looking?

ohio northern university pharmacy program. I'm only applying to schools with pharmacy programs, so most of them are public and relatively large. Finances a big part of it as well. It's just I kind of feel left out. It's not that I wouldn't be competetive at better schools, I've just made a choice that they're not for me

hey celebrian! glad that you're back.

the schools on my list are not popular CC choices either. Loyola University in Chicago is probably the school I'll most likely attend, because I'm entitled to get free tuition there all 4 years (employee benefits, parents). It's a bit conservative for my taste, but I'll manage. Unless I get into the University of Chicago or Oberlin (reaches) and get enough financial aid, I'll most likely stick to my current plan.

I really like Loyola, a bit conservative for me too. But overall very nice. My friend also gets free tuition at a good, but not extremely selective school because her mom is a nurse at their medical school

Celebrian have you heard of Centre in Kentucky? I know some of there graduates and they say it was one of the best schools . Maybe you should look them up.

My sister is going to go to LUC...yayyy

hey that's cool Moni! so your sister will be a freshman?
my sister will be a junior.

centre is KY is a really good school, as long as you dont mind a little lack of diversity. i have three friends getting ready to venture to centre as freshman, but it is a really good school.

i applied to 5 "CC schools" and the all waitlisted, then rejected me. i am now an entering freshman to a small private school in KY, which actually rivals centre in many things... Transylvania. I had my heart set on Brown, and i never even dreamed that i would be happy with Transy, but I truly am happy to be attending transy. so, trust me... you can be happy elsewhere.

now, as for the large state schools.... ehhh. they arent for me. I've spent plenty of time at university of KY and its waaayyy to large for me. but for pharmacy... well, i dont have a clue about that.

hope this made sense and could help!
