Those of you in, please check USConnect!

This article, just posted to USC's admissions blog talks about this year's applicant pool: If it seems easy, you’re not doing it right Undergraduate Admission Blog

At the end, it mentions that admitted students can "go ahead and submit their Enrollment Commitment Deposits at usconnect.usc.edu". Those of you who received your acceptances today, can you check if there is a new tab on USConnect for enrollment deposits?

I’m kind of worried, because I don’t have the tab. (I haven’t gotten anything from USC. I live in MA)

I don’t see any tab in D’s account (received admit today).

I got admitted today as well and no change in USConnect, so don’t look at it as an indicator of admission.

thank you, you two!

thank you thank you! I’m in the Bay Area and i haven’t gotten anything yet! It just says “Status not available” when I clicked on Application Status Check.

Does it say “status not available” if you click on application status check?

^yes, I was admitted but it says “status not available”–seems like that’s the status for all students whether accepted or not.

Thanks zomggg and big congrats!

“Status not available” for d too under application status. No letter yet here in the deep South.

Status not available as well in Washington. It seems like USC is trying to be even less telling of admission statuses this year. You literally won’t know until you open your mail box0_0

Mine doesn’t say “status not available” it says “The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you do not receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results this over the phone beginning June 11th.”

Anyone else have this?

That’s strange because you are supposed to be able to call for decision on April 3 if you don’t receive notice.

ya its a bit concerning, also because you need to put a deposit down by May 1

mine says:
"The University of Southern California is pleased to offer the ability of students to receive online messages regarding the status of their application. However, all decision notifications are made via postal mail.

Status not available"

anyone admitted/denied have “status not available” as well? hoping there’s a (positive) trend as I have it too

…hahaha I went ahead and checked my trash. Nope, I did not throw it away with junk mail, just did not receive anything. I guess ‘no news means good news’
Good Luck all!!

Some people have been accepted and others declined with the “Status Not Available” still on their USConnect, so there is no online trend right now except for having the deposit box in admissions/events tab (which many accepted people still don’t have). The only apparent snail mail trend is that those in California (excluding North Cal) received their letters (acceptance and rejection) today. Perhaps those in North Cal and the surrounding states will get their letters tomorrow and everyone else in the U.S. (East Coast) the following day respectively.

So Cal, didn’t get any mail from USC in two mail deliveries (am and pm). Status not available. No deposit box either.

My S’s USConnect account does contain an “Enrollment Commitment Deposit Section”, but he was admitted in February. I’m guessing that there just has not yet been time to update the accounts of all of the very recent days’ admitted students.
