those of you that received acceptances, congrats

Even from the time my D submitted her application back in the fall it never said whether it had or hadn’t been reviewed. Strange.

A lot of kids we know have had responses by mail, all acceptances. We don’t know anyone who’s received a rejection by mail.

Im not sure if your OOS or IS but to accept students with lower GPA’s and lower SAT’s just to get a higher tuition from them is horrible.
I live in NY and I pay taxes. I see this as possibly being a problem for Binghamton. It just takes one connected parent to make a fuss

I’m instate as well.

Does your D’s status say not reviewed or not entered?

Not entered has been my D’s status since at least November.

Zoosermom… You said in your post…A lot of kids we know have had responses by mail, all acceptances. We don’t know anyone who’s received a rejection by mail.

Just wondering if the acceptances were recent. My son doesn’t know anyone at his hs who has received anything yet. Thanks!

Yes, just in this week.

82 apps from my S’s LI High School and so far only 1 admit per Naviance.

Did anyone get into the SOM yet?

Guys, when you check your application status, prior to materials, it says application preference. Is this what you are talking about for whether it has been entered or not? Mine says Preference: 1, does this mean anything?

I nearly **** my pants when I logged on and never saw the payment option. Then I realized I was going to the wrong place. Go to this link https://secure.binghamton.edu/newadm...278C16933?home</a> and not the application status checker. I’m not going to get overly hopeful and take this as 100% in but it sure does look encouraging.

Versii, mine has said ‘not entered’ for about 2 months. I never knew what that meant. I don’t know if that’s the same spot that said “complete, ready for review” back in early November.

Thanks for the link from the first page. It worked! Looks like my D’s first ?acceptance. We have been so anxious with all the waiting. CC readers are so helpful! It’s been a long few mos waiting for the next 2 weeks to come.

Please, DO NOT attempt to discover your Admissions decision via a “backdoor” method. Until you receive an official notification via U.S. Mail, NO DECISION IS OFFICIAL. Until you are notified, it is completely within Admissions’ right to change their minds as it is still an internal decision. I am not confirming/denying whether the ability to pay a deposit means anything, as I am not in a position to officially comment on that.

Admissions decisions are generally sent via U.S. Mail, and you may receive your decision after April 1st – keep in mind that decisions mailed on the first will not reach your mailbox on that date.

Good luck to all of you, and I highly recommend that you wait until you receive notification via U.S. Mail. I understand that this is a very anxious time for all of you (trust me, I was there a little over a year ago), but you’ll do yourselves well to just patiently wait.

In the event you receive an acceptance envelope, it will be blatantly obvious that Binghamton wants you.

@ BingAmbassador

Wait, so if you tried logging into Bing’s quikpay site, it’ll affect our acceptance decision?
Or are you trying to say the quickpay system doesn’t necessarily give a definitive answer if you’re in or not?

read an important report about the university even if you don’t care about sports
[The State University of New York - SUNY News](http://www.suny.edu/sunynews/News.cfm?filname=2010-02-11%20Review%20and%20Investigation%20Statement%20Final.htm)

The sports report is bogus!

DidIMakeAMistake, it won’t affect your decision. I’m simply saying that it might not be definitive. Good luck! :)

Thanks for clearing that up/ I guess the excitement of possibly getting a clue got the better of us. We will wait patiently and check the mailbox everyday. good luck to everyone.

oh my god, it just so excited and scare.I’m able to log in to pay my deposit , I actually tried a last week, it didn’t work… this whole thing just keep my hopes up… god bless us…
