Hey, I’m wondering, for those of you who already sent their Common Apps, have you received some kind of acknowledgement from Harvard yet?

Wow, boy are u guys eager..

Yes, I have sent in my app., and they said they would sent in a confirmation by MAIL in 2 weeks; and that I should get worried only if it doesn't arrive in 4 weels.

I think its really bad that they don't send an email for online confirmation of apps. submitted ONLINE!

I think they've taken a big step in accepting apps online, maybe it'll take them another year to begin sending email confirmations. :)

Guess what, I've sent in my app since Aug, but I still haven't received an acknowledgement. I called, and it turns out that they have only filed my app 2 weeks ago. What's the use of me sending my app early...

Anyone's got their acknowledgement already?

If it has been more than 10 days since you have sent in your application, send an email to admpin@fas.harvard.edu with PIN in the subject line and your full name in the message body. DO NOT type anything else!

You will receive your PIN by email in a couple of minutes, which you can use to access your application status.

I sent my application online on 2nd Oct. Haven't gotten my mail confirmation but they DO have my application and everything else on record.

Email and tell me what happens.

Thanks so much. The email worked and now I don't have to worry anymore.

Just to clarify one more time...

Even if you do an online app, you can still send the essays in later, right? By mail? Thanks!

Yes, you can.

Aren't you supposed to be e-mailed by the Common App people that your app was sent? I haven't gotten mine and i sent my app hours ago...

thesandman-I just sent in my app, suplement and payment in the last hour. I'll PM you when I get a response.

You won't be getting any sort of email confirmation. Wait about ten days, email admpin@fas.harvard.edu with PIN the subject line, and you should get your PIN before it actually arrives in the mail.

That's what I did. :)
