are you?

yeah, most likely i will too. my second choice would be st. john's, which i'm still waiting to hear from. But even if I get in, I'm pretty sure I'll go to Rutgers.

Could you share what you received in academic scholarship for school? Also did you look into how many AP credits will be credited towards the pre-pharmacy program.? My daughter is looking into Pharmacy school and is now a junior. Her SATs are very good, glass standing is excellent and she will have completed a number of AP courses. We live in PA so going outside of PA would be quite expensive for out of state. Did you get decent scholarship money offers?

Advice,

DS is in his 2nd year at RU, for Pharmacy. Unless things have changed, in THAT program you are only allowed to bring in 8 credits (be it AP or college credit earned during high school).

That said, a 5 on an AP science exam transfers in as 8 credits, a 4 as 4 credits. For Calc, you need a 5 on the exam to transfer in any credit. On the AB exam, that would get you 4 credits, on the BC, you need a 5/5 (AB & BC) to bring in 8 credits, or a 5/4 to bring in 4 credits. If you are considering transferring in the Calc credit, send me a private message so I can send you the kind warning my son received, again, this ONLY pertaining to people entering the PharmD program.

Bottom line is the AP credit makes the load a bit lighter in the first 4 semesters, but does not save any money, as a full-time student is a full-time student in terms of tuition. Once the school gets your AP scores they send you a letter (late-July or so), where you get to pick and choose what you want to transfer in, and what you do not want to count.

Good luck to all!
