Those who still have not received a decision...

The director of college of engineering did hint me in a response email that I can expect my decision to be out near this weekend, and it's actually faster than he predicted. If you are that anxious, you should email Mr. Spencer see if he has any news for you. Good luck and keep us updated!

Oh, and I should also add it varies from department to department. I applied to ECE and AEP, so whatever department(s) you applied to maybe following a different schedule.

nalrawahi: well i messed up on my sophie davis admissions so i will be in stony brook univ next year. you seem very nice, see ya there

im still waiting on georgia tech, but the longer i wait, the happier i am that i'm choosing penn. :)

i still have not heard from chicago..... i dont know what their deal is. i applied early alternative and got deferred. anyone else NOT hear yet? i dont particularly care cause im going to columbia but i dont understand why they havent notified me of anything, its rather inconsiderate.

If you are still waiting, don't lose hope - I just found out I was accepted to Cornell. So keep in mind, the school taking a long time to decide doesn't mean a rejection.

K2, were you on the wait list?

No, I wasn't. I applied as an engineer and they just took forever deciding. My online status hasn't changed also.

how did you find out and which majors did you apply? i applied ME and Chem. E... still nothing...

btw.. congratulation on your acceptance!!!

Sacramento State refused to give me a decision till i sent my final transcript. ahhhh, the suspense!

Thanks,

I called the admissions office asking for an update on my application, the lady said she had my file right in front of her but couldn't tell me over the phone and she said she would email me 'soon.' She got back to me with my decision within the hour. I also applied as a cheme and meche, they unfortunately didn't give me my primary major (cheme) but instead offered me meche.

ahhhh... seems like they not reviewing any application without a call... can you tell me which number you called?

Congrats ti83plus, could you include some of the basic stats of yours? Thanks

SATII: Physics 800, Chemistry 790, MathIIc 780, Writing 520 (don't ask... my english was really bad back then)
High school average: 89 (thats out of 100... weighted.. i dont really know how to convert it into 4.0 scale...)

Freshman year gpa: 3.84
1 good recommendation and 1 bad recommendation...
i used my personal statement that i wrote during high school... i think it was ok... since i spent more than a month on it... but other questions... my answers were crap... did it in 20 min...
No EC No award(other than dean's list of course).... only one job in the summer

isnt it amazing?

hmm, nah I think it happens all the time actually. For one thing, schools are required to not just take the top of every class. I got into NYU with these stats:
ACT: 28 (didn't even use SAT because mine sucked)
HS GPA: 3.7 (weighted!!) graduated with 5 aps under my belt
AP grades: 4, 3, 3 1!!!!!!!! (I got a 1 in french. never even studied.)
EC: track. Part of national honor's society
Freshmen year at kenyon college: 3.4. What might have helped..excellent recommendations and essays..

ti83plus, what college curriculum did you take? And what topic did you write your short answers/essay on? Thanks again.
