Those who were waitlisted at Emory and Then applied to Oxford....

For those of us who were waitlisted at Emory and then applied to Oxford, I know we hear back on April 20th, but how long do we have to decide? Do they expect us to decide by May 1st? Thats 10 days....

Another question for all Oxford applicants/current students...Is it possible to graduate from Oxford in 1 year, if you have enough A.P. credits and you take a lot of hours at oxford. I just want to transfer to Emory in my sophmore year.... Is that possible?

I was waitlisted from Emory College and applied to Oxford as well and I have the same question on regards to decisions.

yes. no.
U need 67 credits b4 you can leave oxford, 3PE +64 academic.
1 PE = 1 credit
1class = 4credits
1AP credit = 4 credits
U can take a maximum of 19 credits first semester and 22 credits after that, assuming u maintain a +3.0 GPA
Maximum credits u can get from summer school is either 16 or 20.
So its possible, altho probably very rare… people that transfer early usually transfer 1 semester early and overloading during the school year is really shooting yourself in the foot unless u have really good study habits.
u can take summer classes for credits before u enter ur freshmen year of college.
and…
i registered around 6weeks before school started and they still let me in.

k thanks I see…I will have at least 16 hours in AP credit for oxford, then I will take 16 hours my first semester, and then 16 hours my second semester…I might just end up taking the remaining 16 over summer school…and then transfer to Emory for my sophmore year…I know that only adds up to 64, but I will have to find a way for me to get the remaining 3 hours…

I logged on and saw that my decision was there like 5 days ago. Now i’m just waiting to see what the financial aid package would be like
