So the Supreme Court is likely going to outlaw affirmative action sometime around Januaryish, maybe in June if it takes them a long time to decide.

For everyone that likes to give advice on this thread (myself included) for transfer students, has that changed your advice at all?

For example, I normally tell Transfers with a bad high school record to enter as Juniors, not sophomores. But if the transfer is, for example, an AA and a senior in HS now, would anyone suggest applying as a Sophomore to try and be considered before AA is outlawed?

Everyone seems to say URM's receive as much of a boost when transferring as they do when applying as freshmen, but I'm not sure if that's really true at selective schools? I mean why would it be true? You're not seriously affecting statistics when adding an addition 3 URM's in your class...and schools are traditionally need-aware for transfers.

Idk I'm just interested in seeing CC's thoughts on this.

EDIT: Whoops, misspelled "strategy" in the title, oh well who cares.
