Should I take these two classes for junior year? I'm doing pretty well in Honors Chemistry and Spanish 5-6, but I don't know if that's enough to pass the exams. I heard that most colleges won't except AP Chem and AP Spanish anyway. I'll be taking AP English and AP US History as well next year

What do you guys think? If anyone has taken these courses or knows anyone who's taken these, any advice is appreciated?

I don’t know of any college other than Dartmouth that doesn’t grant credit for Chemistry and Spanish. I’m sure they may be some others, but Chem and Spanish are not at the level of Human Geo and Psych where many colleges don’t accept credit. If you are unsure, check the AP policies of the prospective schools. At the very least, a good score on AP Spanish will get you out of the language requirement.

Have you already taken bio and physics? If not, you could take that and leave AP Chem for senior year if you’re worried about the workload.

If you’re doing well in Spanish and Chemistry this year, you should definitely be capable of AP Chemistry and AP Spanish, as long as you’re confident. AP classes are generally just more in depth, from my experience. I’m planning to take AP Chemistry next year too.
