Thoughts on APUSH?

I'm signed up to take AP US History next year, and everyone who has taken it in the past says that I'm crazy for doing it. Is it really as bad as people claim it is? Also, is there anything that you would recommend I do this upcoming summer to make my life easier during the school year?

It’s really not that hard. Study, write good essays, try. You’ll be fine. If you’re super intent upon studying this summer, go watch Crash Course: US History and brush up on some essay skills.

I agree with ohsomello.

I had classmates tell me the same thing back when I was a junior getting ready for APUSH. It’s really not that difficult since you’ll be covering material you probably have already learned about at some point before. Only this time it will be slightly more in-depth. Crash Course: US History does a great job covering major topics and a APUSH prep book can also be useful since they contain practice tests from previous exams.

I’m a freshman taking it this year and I’m so scared. . .
