Thoughts on CS Major/Placement

<p>Can anyone tell me about placement in the CS dept. (LSA or Engineeering)? Do they test/allow placement beyond whatever a 5 on AP Comp Sci AB gets you? Has anyone taken EECS 477 (Intro to Algorithms) and can you tell me about it? (difficulty, what's expected, etc.) DS is visiting campus next week. Is there anyone in the advising office who will talk to prospies?</p>
