good exam, found it better than the November one... good luck to everyone who still has to sit it! the essay question was a bit of a doozy though, I didn't particularly like it.

wat do you mean?

you took it already?

yeah I did, I'm in Australia so I guess we do it a fair while before you guys because of timezones.

wow!

but too bad they have different tests

hey! I'm also in australia, so I took the test this morning, only just got home though because I shopped for about 4 hours afterwards to relax...the testing centre was opposite a mall, convenient! vrumchev, you're not in sydney are you?

I did not like the essay question!! so not what I was expecting (or what Barron's told me to expect) but I'm hoping I still did okay...

the rest of the exam I found okay, except for a few math questions, the math sections are really my weak point, but I'm pretty confident about the CR and writing (except for that essay) sections

please, please, please 2300 + !!!

The SC questions are too hard for me

HiLine, what are the SC questions? reading, writing or math?

marina_b, nope I am not in Sydney but damn I envy you for going shopping for 4 hours lol despite the fact that im a guy :P With regard to the exam, I am the exact opposite of you though, because I find the math more straight forward than the reading or writing. I think it's because we only ever write essays on generic and contextual topics in Literature, and don't do any of the comprehension or grammar like in the SAT... Don't you find some of the Verbal and CR questions rather strange, in that there are several 'good' responses? Anyways, I hope you get your 2300+ :)

Sentence completion ---> CR

ahhh I see, yeah some of the vocab was new to me as well.

I skipped about 4 or 5 SC questions, most of which are in the last section.

I never skip, always go for broke based on an educated guess or a random inckling that I have, haha

vrumchev, I only found one 'good' response per question, lol! hopefully it was the right 'good' response :) I found most of the math questions okay - I think - there were just a few tricky ones at the end of the sets that I absolutely could not make out...I just hope I turn out to be a good guesser!

I didn't dare to try being a good guesser :(

lol, that sounds reassuring, thanks......... There was one math question that took a while to get out. It was Q18 (the last one) of the grid-in section. The rest were fine I think. I am hoping that the first CR is the one that is emitted, it was intense lol

omg, I forgot all about that 'one section is just an experiment' thing, lol! I think I know the question you are talking about, I changed my answer for that about 5 times...I hope it was worth it!

for anybody reading this thread: I will not tell you what the essay topic is and I will not discuss the test, so pm me if you like but I won't give anything away :)

:(.................................lol

My thoughts exactly marina_b :P

Please stop PMing me about it as well.

What are your past scores? How is it compared to the previous ones?

Ha ha,no one has ever tried PM -ing me. :D
