Should I be going to ER if I wanted to do AE engineering? Is that the best place for it? My other choice would be U of Michigan, but I dunno how to decide.
ER sounds pretty good as a whole. Small school and is focused on aerospace/aeronautics. Thoughts? Any other comments on ER, anything you know, would be appreciated.

I go to Riddle for AE--I love it, but I could understand how it's not for everyone. The program itself seems tough, but I suspect all are. Many people drop/switch after the first semester or two, and that's just the calc/physics. The campus itself (Prescott) is what I wanted as I really got to know all my classmates, and there are not a lot of distractions. We're really close knit. Any specific questions?

The program is highly regarded, maybe not as much as the top-ranked ones, but it is very aerospace oriented. Many companies hire straight from Riddle every year, and I've yet to hear of anyone having a hard time finding a job. (many of my friends are older and graduated)

I don't know much about U of Michigan, but they seem on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of size and location. Riddle has two campuses if you didn't know, one in Arizona and the other in Florida. The Florida campus is almost 3 times the population, but on less land. Also in a bigger city than Prescott.

I know a girl who went to Riddle for AE...she loved it until she couldn't afford to go there anymore.

Yeah Im thinking about going to Daytona Beach for riddle. Arizona is a little too far away from where I live :o

So many ppl drop after a semester or two? Wow... didnt know that?
@kwtortoise: if I may ask, what did you get on your SAT and what was your GPA? Since you got in, I'd like to see what I should be aiming for approximately. ty :)

As long as you have the money, they will accept you. I'm from Daytona Beach, the campus is pretty dull, but it is a cool school. Also, being close to the beach is a plus.

If you are a male I wouldn't reccommend the AZ campus.

the campus is dull? You mean like not pretty? shabby? uhoh, not good...I like pretty campuses :)

It's a sausage fest and you aren't surrounded by a large metro area. You are basically stuck.

ER in Daytona is not really your traditional pretty campus. It is confined. I am not saying it is ugly, but don't go there expecting to see your normal college campus. From what Payne is suggesting, it is definitely nicer than the Arizona campus.

However, the surrounding city is pretty fun. The beaches are cool and the night life is okay. Plus, you have NASCAR and Bike Week if you are interested in those activities. Most importantly, there are a lot of pretty girls. So you may not enjoy the campus that much, but I think you would like the city.

BTW: If I had a choice, I would choose Michigan.

Don't know much--but for ASE I hear its top-notch.
