Thoughts on graduating early?

I am only a freshman, but due to 15 units of back credit from APs and 10 units I am taking this summer, I am on track to having 120 credits by the end of junior year. I most likely would not finish a whole year early because I want to diversify my classes and maybe get a minor, but would it be advantageous to graduate a semester early? Or Go abroad my final semester? Is it common to do so?
Just thinking ahead. Thanks.

Lots of people who are in similar situations to you do just what you’re thinking.

They don’t go abroad their final semester - they go sometime during their junior year (or even for their entire junior year), and the credit bonus makes this easier to accomplish.

I know a lot of b-schoolers who graduated a semester early.

I wouldn’t say it’s advantageous in any concrete sense other than financially. All of the people I know who graduated a semester early did it to avoid the last semester of tuition (note: if you take 3 credits spring of your senior year, you still pay 100% tuition, it’s dumb).

I don’t know anyone who graduated a full year early.
