HS year? Tentative academic interests?

Regardless of what major you’ll be choosing, having Berkeley and Tufts (and Haverford and Bucknell for that matter) on the same list tells me you haven’t dug very deeply into what student experience you want. There are almost as many students in Berkeley’s Intro to CS as there are in the entire student body at Haverford. The undergraduate experience will be radically different between those schools.

Your targets are reaches.

@momofsenior1 Which ones exactly? I know northeastern and Haverford are definitely some of the harder targets, but for the others I’m at the top 75 percentile for GPA and ACT.

@merc81 I’m a junior. I’m interested in either biology/ pre-med or engineering

Acceptance rates:

NYU 19%
Bucknell 24%
BC 28%
American 35%

These are not targets. Low reaches maybe…

@momofsenior1 What would you suggest for targets, given my stats and acceptance rates?

Look for schools with acceptance rates closer to 40-50%. Safeties 75%+ and that are affordable.
