Thoughts on not being accepted by Stanford

<li><p>Any adcom will tell you that a class just as impressive as the applicants accepted could be formed by the applicants rejected.</p></li>
<li><p>Your not being accepted is no reflection on your worth as a person.</p></li>
<li><p>Your not being accepted means one thing: the adcom thought you were not a good match for Stanford.</p></li>
<li><p>That the adcom thought you were not a good match for Stanford does not mean you are not a good match for dozens of other top tier schools.</p></li>
<li><p>You are a good match for dozens of other top tier schools.</p></li>
<li><p>You will get accepted by many of the dozens of other top tier schools.</p></li>
<li><p>You will attend one of the dozens of other top tier schools.</p></li>
<li><p>You will have a great time, get a great education, make lifelong friends, advance your professional or further educational goals, learn a lot about life, and finally discover who you are.</p></li>
<li><p>Four years from now, you will look back and be extremely happy with your college career and justifiably proud of your accomplishments.</p></li>
<li><p>Four years from now you will be extremely puzzled as to why you were ever upset that you did not get into Stanford.</p></li>
