Thoughts on Yale, College Admissions, Dreams, and More

I wrote this essay on my blog and posted it in the Yale Applicants Facebook Group a few days before SCEA decisions were released:
http://movielivesandmore.blogspot.com/2014/12/non-sequitur-thoughts-on-yale-college.html

I was deferred, and here's the followup essay I wrote:
http://movielivesandmore.blogspot.com/2014/12/non-sequitur-reflections-on-yale-being.html

A few notes on what I was like as an applicant, if anyone was curious:
Good test scores (36,2350)
Good grades (4.0/5.0)
Decent EC's (Heavily involved in sports and music, but no real awards or such to my name)

Well, it's definitely well past the SCEA timeline but maybe RD'ers can gain something from this. Feel free to tell me what you think, good, bad, constructive, destructive, etc.

Also check out the rest of my blog if you want (haha shameless self promotion).

Thanks All,

You’re clearly a talented student, and you’re a very good writer. Wherever you end up, you’ll do well.
