Hey guys so as we all check our ACT scores, some of us are happy with our scores while some definitely see room for improvement for the september sitting. I thought I would start a thread for CC users to post their study tips and the improvement they experienced by using these tips. Personally, I would love some tips on improving my Science and Math sections while some might appreciate some Reading and English tips!

So anyone with some tips and some evidence of success with these tactics, please post them here! Hopefully this thread can be a great resource for ppl looking to improve their scores.

Great thread idea! The only thing I can think of is for science, do not read through the intros, look at the questions first. It’s what everyone seems to think. However, science is still my worst section, so…

Also, for math, just review the concepts. Look over everything from begining algebra and geometry topics to trig. Don’t skim through a review book and think “oh, I know that” because you might think you remember how to do something, but once you see it on test day, you might realize that you don’t know something as well as you thought you did.

I have a question about reporting ACT scores to colleges. Will colleges see how many times you take the test? I know that you only send one complete sitting score in, but can they tell if you took it several times?
