PMM (pre-medical medical) is Penn State/SKMC program.
Itās available in our portal and you should too. Not sure if its optional/just good to have. We saw it in the portal with link to schedule and hence we did it. It was just 30 min call with a counselor to know you better and discussion about career aspirations etc.
We did the self-guided tour on the campus. Yes, its small campus but has a law college in the same premises and AMC is across the street. My child liked the neighborhood of ACPHS better compared to Union.

Temple supplemental - asks for 2 letters of recommendation out of which one is from a mentor in health care setting .What does this mean ? Who did you all ask for this letter?

Has your child done any shadowing a physician ? It could be the physician.
His science teacher submitted today. He did shadowing but not sure if the physician will write the LOR and fill the google form with 2 days left to submit.

Looks like there may be some hope.
If the student has done any volunteering related to health care setting like hospitals, medical office, senior homes or hospice, request some one who supervised the student to give LOR. Basically it is not from HS but from the place did some activity. If done shadowing get it from the physician.
Most of the colleges donāt consider senior home/hospice volunteering as medical related. We asked this question to few colleges during virtual sessions and they said it would not be considered as medical setting volunteering. Hospital and Physician places would be considered.
For Temple LOR - is EMS lead officer okay as medial related ?
How important are Senior Year 1st semester gradesā¦ do colleges pay close attention to it and change decisions based on it?

@Shanmuga20 thanksā¦ and lets say the student scores all As again, would it make sense to reach out to the admission counselors and provide that info consideration?
I believe the school would still submit their first semester transcript but that wonāt be until the decisions are made

BSMD interview screening would not happen until January 3rd week and hence no activity until then.
When are mid-year transcripts due for most BS/MD and undergrad universities?
