@MeredXD Being an ORM, you are competing only with other ORMs with perfect stats and 4.0 UW GPA. Apply widely and do not expect much.from BS/MD process. All you need is ONE acceptance for BS/MD. Be open to regular route to Medical School. For regular route, your UG GPA and MCAT scores are the most important factors so choose your UG school to maximize your GPA, not the allure of brand name

Does anybody have recommendation for a counselor service for BSMD applications? Thanks!

My D has a very good all around volunteer, research internship, shadowing and ACT score. Her GPA went down to 3.69 due to AP Calculus BC in her junior year . Her class rank is 90/1500 students . She wants to apply this fall to BS/MD. Do you see she has a chance or not with this GPA? Any past experience insight is appreciated.

Hello.
So my situation is somewhat different. I graduated from high school this june (June 2019) and is admitted to a college for undergrad. I want to become a doctor. I didn’t knew about the (accelerated) BS/MD programs before so I am definitely late to apply for these programs for fall 2019. I wanted to know if there is a way or any university that can take my application without me wasting a year (maybe they can transfer my 1st year credits and I can attend that uni in fall 2020 as a 2nd year student). What are my options regarding the colleges available to get into a accelerated BS/MD or 8 year BS/MD program?now that I am already admitted to start my 1st year of undergrad in a college.
Thank-you.

@Ladyyy - the only possible option is you doing a gap year, re-apply to colleges including BS/MD programs. But why you think you might have a shot at BS/MD, which have lower acceptance rates than Harvard? Do you have the high stats + strong EC’s? If you do, you should be heading to an Ivy in the Fall (which is the most common dilemma for BS/MD accepted students).

IMO, it may not hurt to apply but UW GPA is below par for most BSMD programs for ORMs( read Asians, including Indians). Is she a URM(Under-represented Minority in Medicine) ?
