Thread for general questions about NYU, specifically Stern

ask away :) I'll do my best to answer your questions. This is NOT for chancing, it's just another opportunity to find out more about NYU/Stern.

What do you know/think about the Marketing program? Are students getting good job offers prior to graduation?

I’m going to major in Marketing! Anyway, NYU is exemplary in each field in business, especially finance. 60% of the students study finance, and most students double major, so there are no limitations in terms of what you can study (mostly). In comparison to other prestigious undergraduate business schools, stern offers a decent marketing program, but not outstanding. Marketing education is the same principles no matter where you go - but New York City offers so many opportunities for internships and work experience. One of the reasons I decided to attend Stern was because I could intern and study at the same time, graduating with so much experience.

Yes, about 96/98% of students get a job offer within 3 months of graduating, many juniors get internships that lead to job offers way before that. If you work hard at finding opportunities, there’s no doubt something good will come up  I know people who find internships at marketing firms all the time, as well as with big names within finance (prudential, pwc, goldman sachs)

Thanks.
Before when I asked on here, quite a few people were saying it’s really not worth going to NYU Stern for Marketing. Do you think it’s worth it? Regardless, I’m declaring a double at CAS.
