<p>Waitlisted with 36, 2360, 4.0, 800 SAT IIs, good ECs, and research. I visited campus, had an alumni interview, and emailed with several questions: was seriously interested in the school. I’ve already been accepted to UChicago and WashU and pretty shocked by this. </p>

<p>Thanks for responding, Daddio. I suspect even if my child got in off the waitlist, there wouldn’t be any merit aid, and in that case, I’m pushing for Wash U. If this is really about yield, and not something else we are missing, I don’t want to give a substantial amount of our income and savings to a place with the kind of institutional policy that turns away very qualified students to improve their statistics. We’ll deal with the family situation. My wife was very against a college decision based on her health, so perhaps this is for the best. St. Louis isn’t too much farther away.</p>

<p>@StLoumom, I copied your comment from the RD over here. Even though there are no stats, this is still very relevant. Case has shot themselves in the foot IMHO.
What’s great that is going on in our house…my very high stats senior d who had visited, interviewed and wrote essays for scholarships was waitlisted. And now my sophomore d has received several pieces of mail from Case. Ha ha, she won’t be applying. </p>
