Thanks!

I’d say match for all three. Numbers 2 & 3 are a shoe in, Umich stats are lower but still within range and you are a well rounded applicant. I would say its very probable that you will be accepted.

Good luck.

I would absolutely agree.

Wayne and MSU, baring some crazy event, should be safeties for you. Your UMich stats are on the lower end, but I’ve seen people with much worse stats get in. I was accepted with a higher GPA and ACT than you, but you have WAYYYY more extracurrics than I do, so I’m sure that will account for something. They are looking for intelligent people with diverse experiences, and in my opinion, you fit the bill.

Hope the encouragement helped, and good luck! =]

GPA: 3.8UW, in-state… seriously?

Seriously what? Is that good or bad? lol, sorry.

well, i was trying to imply that you are obviously better off than other applicants (like me). Sorry i didn’t make myself clear, you are very likely to get in.

You are very borderline… I’d say slight reach

what makes you say that Sam? Michigan considers GPA a lot more than the ACT, plus his ACT score isn’t terrible… his ECs and location helps balance it out.

Yeah I know but his GPA is average and ACT is below average. It could definitely happen, and the legacy will help but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he gets deferred. It could go either way, Michigan can be unpredictable sometimes.

thats true, but he applied EA, so personally i think his chances are good

Yes I know, actually I meant to say high match, meaning less of a chance than match but higher than reach. It would also be helpful to know what classes he took/is taking.

Ash, what is your senior courseload and total number of APs taken?

AP calc, AP physics, forensic science, anatomy and physiology, marketing, and creative writing.

I also got a 4.11 last marking period, and that will probably be my semester grade too.

Also, this is the hardest workload I could have besides ap lit. My school sucks. LOL

You are in at MSU and Wayne State but you are probably not going to get into Michigan.

:( hopefully you are wrong. LOL. How is msus biochem program compared to umichs?

I hope I am wrong too! Did you retake the ACT. A 29 or 30 would really help your chances.

Nope and now I regret it. I was planning on going to a Christian college for a while so the 27 was fine.

Well, I got in!!! :)

I figured you would. A 3.8 UW average makes up for a lower ACT score. Congrats!
