Three 800s in one sitting?

Just wondering. :p

RoflcopTer. That would be an epic win. :D

that would be pretty amazing....

My friend got an 800 on Math 2c, Biology, and Physics all in 1 sitting. Yeah, he's a genius. Thats in addition to his 790 on American History.

Hmm, actually I know a number of people who made 2400 in 1 sitting, and some more with 2380/2390 in 1 sitting. I'm guessing it's more achievable for those who studied all 3 subjects at the same time in their high school years (I would assume this on the basis that American high schools do their AP in a modular manner?)

I didn't make it, but i sure came close.
790,770,750

Hahaha, Timmy, I got triple 800s last June :D Math IIC, Physics, Chem.

I've gotten two 800's in one sitting. Probably could have slipped in a mathII 800 along with them. This time I doubt it because that mathII was ridiculous ;(

It is certainly possible. However, there are threads here on CC and articles in the news that indicate that 2400 does not an automatic admit make. So, it's good to know that there is more than test scores in ad com's criteria

fiona -> I think it worked for you because of the A levels prep.

Timmy, Timmy, you should me ashamed of your mediocre scores. =P

it's really not that impossible...
USH, physics and math II have excellent curves

I have a question:

Does a triple (or quadruple) 800 on SAT subject tests is considered by adcoms as valuable as a 2400 or 1600/1600 on the SAT?
Especially by schools like Caltech, MIT or Princeton.

Thanks.

It'll be impressive but probably not as much as a 1600-2400 on the SATI. Say you take MathII, Chem, and Physics. On those tests an 800 is 'only' 90, 95, 92 percentiles respectively compared to the 2400 which is the 99.99 percentile.

800 may only be like the 90th percentile in Math II, but the number that get 3x800 is a lot less. Like a 800 on any single section on the SAT reasoning is far more common than a 2400 overall. If you want to compare SAT I with SAT II, you have to compare the percentage that can get 800s on 3 different tests, all in one sitting. And that number is much, much less than 1%.

Are you sure? Those people that are getting 800 are already very good, so I would expect a significant percentage of those getting 800 on say, Math IIC, to get 800 on other tests as well.

And in my school, we're all cheap scumbags who take three at one go to save money... [random: em bi doi :( em muon nem ran. mwahaha. since you're vietnamese]

Haha, I'm hungry too!

fiona, you want what? oo
and what is up with people laughing at me D:

Btw, I bet you my 97%ile (770) in Biology is alot better than your 800's %ile :P

^psh... I've seen people do better than that in freshman year....

Well... I never had a real Biology class :P
