Three college classes back to back? Any advice

So I’m Fridays starting from 11-3:30 pm I have classes back to back.
Starts with English 11-11:50
anatomy and physiology 12-1250
development psychology 1-1:30

I am trying to move psychology but the other classes I have conflict and others I want are already full
Any advice on this?

Sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. Bring some healthy snacks with you on Fridays.

It should be fine. Bring a snack or even a Boost tyoe of drink to have on the run.

Thanks guys and I made a typo it’s from 1-3:30

Bring even more snacks. And maybe coffee. ~O)

On the positive side, other days in the week will no doubt be lighter for you!

Well, considering that I regularly have a teaching schedule that’s worse than that, I think you’ll cope.

You’ll probably collapse into a nap afterwards lol, but it’s totally doable  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I had nearly back to back classes from 8:30AM to 3:20PM. I did have a 60 minute or so break, but the early start realllly got to me by the afternoon. I almost dozed off a few times during my last class of the day, so definitely make sure something is able to keep you awake - be it a snack or something else. This was my schedule.

8:30AM - 9:50AM: Human Language as Computation
11:00AM - 12:00PM: Discrete Methods
12:30PM - 1:50PM: Human Language Technology
2:00PM - 3:20PM: Language and Society

My son’s schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays next fall:

9:30 am - 10:45 am
11:00 am - 12:15 pm
12;30 pm - 1:45 pm
2:00 pm - 3:15 pm
5:00 pm - 6:15 pm

He’s in the Middle East. He arranges his schedule this way so that he can volunteer in the Syrian refugee camp two or three days every week. He has to cope with almost daily power outages and inconsistent running water (he and his roommates have to buy water that is delivered to their apartment). So I think you can handle your schedule!

Shouldn’t be a problem at all, seems quite typical.

Just make sure to squeeze in a bathroom break!

You’ll be fine. I had multiple semesters where I’ve had 4 classes on one or two days, plus a lab and multiple music rehearsals. You adapt pretty quickly to it. Just make sure you eat and stay hydrated, as well as spread out working on assignments starting the day they’re assigned.

How close together are those physically? Small campus? At my school an English to Anatomy transition would be almost impossible in 10 minutes unless you bike. If they are all really close, you should be ok.

Is there a reason your worried about 3 classes back to back if timing between classes works?
It looks like it is just 2.5 hours.

OP corrected the schedule in post #3. It is 4.5 hours. Longer but still doable.

I’m going to be weird and just say that I actually love having all back-to-back classes. I had a schedule one term where I had class 8-11 every morning then I was done for the day. Best schedule ever because when you’re done, you’re done. Since this schedule is at lunchtime, I’d find out which classes you’re allowed to eat in and bring real lunch food (a sandwich or something and not just snacks) and eat in class. If anyone asks why, just say you have 4.5 hours in a row in the middle of the day.

I’m also guessing based on the class lengths that the 1-4:30 class is once a week and the other 2 are 3x/week so while you’re Fridays are heavy, M/W is only 2 hours of class and T/Th is only 1.5 hours I’m guessing? Doesn’t sound like a bad schedule at all TBH.
