Three colleges I got into are requesting verification.

However, I already know which one out of those three I definitely want to go to. So what do I do? Do I still send all those financial papers to all three colleges, or just the one I'm planning to attend?

Should I decline acceptances for those other two colleges right now, and send out the financial papers to that just one school?

When will I find out about financial info from those colleges after verifying? After May? I have to accept or decline acceptances by May 1.

And is there a chance that scholarships may be taken away after verification? Or is it just grants and loans?

If the amount of financial aid might be a factor in where you can go then send to them all.

So long as your information was all correct and is supported by your documents nothing should be taken away.

I was told by a Financial Aid Officer to just send it to the school you are going to attend. He told me that usually you are just randomly picked by FAFSA to undergo verification. From my understanding, this only pertains to Federal grant/loan determinations. I am also hoping that it does not reduce anything! The school we are interested in does not send out the info on verification for a few weeks. They said they only want to verify the kids who accept.

Yes, keep all your options open - especially if you don't know yet what your first choice college will actually cost after grants and scholarships.

So my aid package will probably not change if all the information was correct? I received a nice award from Northeastern University, and that's where I want to go, so I'm hoping the award stays the same.

And do they usually stay relatively the same? Like the package I get notified of in March will be the same when I enter college?

As long as the financial info was complete and correct. If, for instance, you entered an estimated income, and the real income was different then the aid will be changed to reflect that. But if all your financial info is the same and is verified then it should not change.
