Haven’t been in some time so can’t make recommendations, but jealous and have a wonderful time! Is it your first trip there? We always did Mount Royal as an outside activity.

Yes, in all my years of traveling I’ve somehow never managed to step foot in Canada. I did look at it from our side of the Niagara Falls eons ago!

J’adore :canada:!!! And Montreal is the perfect city to feel a blend of North America and “France” since many there speak French. You should also find some great food - and we won’t judge you if you grab some poutine from a street vendor!

When are you going? There is a lovely botanical garden and they do an annual Chinese lantern display that is really spectacular. I think it runs late summer and fall.

Edited to add the link: Come amaze at the Gardens of Light

Mid August.

Add Old Montreal and the biosphere. Fine arts museum if you like art.

I was definitely going to recommend Old Montreal, the Biosphere, and Mount Royal (but someone beat me to all three). Apparently the botanical garden is not the same as the biosphere, and I have personally managed to miss the botanical garden (oops, I will need to go back). I think that my wife went to a fine arts museum on our last trip while I was in meetings and she liked it.

Canada is really, really big. There is a lot to do in Canada. However, for this trip I think that you want to stick with Montreal. You can do Quebec City, Ottawa, Nova Scotia, Banff, Vancouver, and Victoria on your next six or ten trips to Canada.

If you enjoy F1 it’s a blast. Usually in June. Book early and it’s expensive.

If you can, the cirque du soliel show - echo is showing. Montreal is where they started from so it’s good to do. There is a Notre dame cathedral in Old Montreal that is nice to see and the port area is nice too.
