Three short essays... 1800 CHARACTERS long, what if I went slightly over???

Ok so for the Stanford supplement an applicant must complete three short essays which can only contain 1800 CHARACTERS each.

However, what if my essays are roughly a tad bit over 1900 CHARACTERS, is this ok or will it even fit onto my common application since space is limited???

as you have probably already found out, it doesn't let you save if it's over the limit

does the 1800 characters count spaces?

Yes, it does.

ok, so try to condense your thoughts. i know its often said that you wont be penalized for going a little over, in this case it wont even let you submit it. really think about what youre saying. if theyve set a limit, then surely they believe the topic can be addressed in that many letters.

sometimes less is more, right?

hmm... i've found out that if you copy and paste from a word document, you can go over the limit for some answer boxes. ^_^

^-- I tried doing that but it gives me a length error. =/

I think it's better not to take the risk of going over the limit (even if it lets you do that) because in the end it might cut off something crucial and mess up everything.
