<p>I recall someone who was accepted sending in seven recommendations.</p>
<p>Still, Harvard only wants two recommendations. Why don't you just read all of the recommendations and just submit the best two (unless you already sent them in)?</p>

<p>I meant if you were allowed to see them. You can choose whether you want to see them or not, when you sign the common app recommendation form, it gives you that choice. I didn't suggest that anyone should break such a waiver if they sign it...</p>
<p>The waiver only applies to students who want to see their recs after they've matriculated.</p>
<p>The Harvard rep who came to my area stressed the importance of sending in as much extra stuff as possible (but within reason).</p>
