Thrift shop volunteering

I'm going to be "interviewing" to volunteer at a thrift shop (you have to apply in person, and I suppose they'd want to ask a few questions...). I've never went for such interviews before, so this might sound stupid, but what would be appropriate attire for such an interview? I'm obviously not going to be too formal, but would jeans/sneakers be too casual, and could someone suggest what clothes would be acceptable?

Thanks!

I’ve put in 50 or so hours working at a thrift shop, although when applying they never asked me to do an interview.

I would suggest finding out what the dress code is for the employees there, and then where that. We volunteers had to wear sleeveless jacket thingies above our regular clothes, so look at what the other volunteers are wearing beneath that and go in that.

I wore cargo shorts and a collared shirt. They were fine with it. Some people even wore jeans, and nothing was ever made of it…

Ack have fun with the indie kids.

I’d wear a cute skirt with a polo. :)

Semi-casual. So no jeans and t-shirt, but not a business suit either. Khaki pants and a polo would work…or something along those lines.

Well, we are the best kind of kids :]

^^^Agreed.

i wish there was a thrift shop by meeee

what kind of thrift store? i worked at one that was reallllllly preppy.

just throw on a pair of jeans and chucks and a blouse.
